Kansas City, MO – Two Children Hurt in Crash on I-29 at MM 4.2

Kansas City, MO (November 21, 2024) – Two young girls were transported to area hospitals as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Platte County at around 8:20 a.m. on November 19.

On Tuesday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was informed that a car crash occurred on Interstate 29. Reports show that a 2015 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on Interstate 29. As the vehicle proceeded forward, the driver swerved to avoid striking a second vehicle that was stopped on the road ahead. After entering the next lane near mile marker 4.2, the vehicle collided with a 2017 Nissan Rogue. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and had to be towed from the scene. A two-year-old girl and a nine-year-old girl involved in the accident both required medical attention. The two victims were transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
