Nevada, MO – Two-Vehicle Crash on US 54 Leaves One Injured

Nevada, MO (February 10, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on US 54, four miles west of Nevada, left one driver injured on Sunday afternoon, February 9. The crash occurred at approximately 3:16 p.m.

Authorities reported that a 69-year-old woman from Fort Scott, Kansas, was driving a 2007 Buick Lucerne northbound when she collided with an eastbound 2021 Chevrolet Spark for reasons still under police investigation. The Chevrolet, driven by a 44-year-old woman from Nevada, Missouri, sustained extensive damage in the crash.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the Chevrolet’s driver to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The Buick’s driver did not report any injuries. Both vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
