Pittsville, MO (November 7, 2024) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County on Tuesday evening, November 5.
At around 6:53 p.m., a 2016 Ford Fusion was traveling on US Highway 50. As the vehicle traveled through the area near Northwest 1421 Road, it crashed into the rear of a 2013 Ford F150 pickup truck. The impact caused the pickup truck to go off the roadway and collide with a culvert. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash and had to be towed from the scene. Two people involved in the accident, identified as a 19-year-old male and a 43-year-old female, were both injured. The woman was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center, while the man was transported to Lee’s Summit Medical Center. The accident is currently under investigation.
