Urbana, MO – Three Injured in Crash on US Hwy 65

Urbana, MO (January 31, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on US Highway 65, two miles south of Urbana, left three people injured on Wednesday night, January 29. Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 8:44 p.m. to assess the situation and assist those involved.

According to reports from Trooper A. Rideout, a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country was traveling eastbound on Osage Road when it attempted to cross US Highway 65. As it entered the roadway, it collided with a northbound 2020 Ford Explorer. The impact resulted in significant damage to both vehicles, which had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the Chrysler, a 61-year-old man from Louisburg, Missouri, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no reported injuries. However, the driver of the Ford Explorer, a 38-year-old woman from Preston, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries. She was transported to Cox South Hospital by Mercy Ambulance for further treatment.

Two juvenile passengers in the Ford Explorer also sustained injuries. A 4-year-old boy suffered minor injuries and was transported by Mercy Ambulance to Cox South Hospital. A 15-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries but was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash to determine any additional contributing factors.
